We hope you can join us along the South Carolina coast for our 2025 Annual Meeting! We will be meeting at the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) Marine Resources Research Institute (MRRI) on the collaborative campus of Fort Johnson. Fort Johnson is located on James Island in Charleston, SC and houses five partner institutions, including SCDNR, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), the Medical University of South Carolina, and the College of Charleston.
Meeting registration includes meals as indicated below and coffee breaks throughout the meeting.
The following agenda will be updated as we approach the meeting:
Thursday April 17th
Marsh Cleanup with the South Carolina Aquarium (~1-4pm)
Join us for a litter cleanup! We are partnering with the South Carolina Aquarium and will be recording debris data in their Litter Journal. Our efforts will contribute to their ongoing citizen-science efforts while improving local environmental quality.
Informal Social at Edmunds Oast Brewing Company (~5-8pm)
light refreshments provided. drinks on your own. happy hour food & drink deals until 6pm.
RiverDogs Baseball Game (7:05pm start time)
For those interested, we will head to the Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park to watch the Charleston RiverDogs play ball! We are hoping to secure a group rate of ~$15/person (to be billed separately).

In addition to our traditional platform presentations (12-minute presentation + 3-minute questions), we are including an option of lightning talks, which are an opportunity to briefly highlight projects, ideas, or interesting findings. Lighting talks will be 5 minutes short, not include questions, and will not be judged for awards. Please indicate interest in the abstract call.
