About Us

The Carolinas Regional Chapter of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry is an independent non-profit scientific and professional organization that serves the local community of environmental scientists, toxicologists, chemists. We promote research, education and training experiences by providing appropriate forums, like our annual spring meeting, and encouraging communication between the scientists in business, academia, government, and non-profit organizations. Established in 1992, our chapter averages approximately 150 student, early career and full members in any one year. Ultimately, we strive to provide educational and professional development programming that incorporates the use, protection and management of the environment and the protection and welfare of the general public.
