2026 Carolinas SETAC Annual Meeting

We hope you can join us in North Carolina for our 2026 Annual Meeting!
This 2-day meeting will be held at the Yates Mill Aquatic Conservation Center and the Plant Sciences Building at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC.
Abstract submissions are due by midnight on Monday, March 2nd
The following schedule is subject to change and will be updated with additional details as we approach the meeting.
Monday April 13th
Short Course with Dr. Greg Cope at Yates Mill Aquatic Conservation Center (10:00 am - 12:00 pm)
The Yates Mill Aquatic Conservation Center is helping conserve North Carolina’s rarest freshwater species through propagation, research, education, and public outreach. Director Greg Cope will walk us through the history and significance of this center, followed by a behind-the-scenes tour the propagation area and chance to explore the nearby visitor center and restored mill. Spots for this short course are limited, so please register early!
Plan to pack a lunch and join us for a picnic in the Historic Yates Mill County Park.

Welcome and SETAC North America Updates (8:30 am)
Plenary Talk by Dr. Joe Bisesi and Dr. Eric Van Genderen
This talk will honor the legacy of the late Dr. Steve Klaine
Platform Presentations
We will have traditional platform presentations (12-minute presentation + 3-minute questions) from students and professionals, with lunch and breaks throughout the day to socialize and network.
CSETAC Business Meeting and Student Presentation Awards
Adjourn by 5pm
Followed by optional informal social

We will also be selling CSETAC T-shirts this year! These $25 shirts must be purchased before the meeting using this link by Monday, March 2nd. Shirts can either be shipped to you directly (for a small fee), or picked up at our meeting in Raleigh. All proceeds from these sales will go directly towards funding student awards.
