***Carolinas SETAC has rescheduled and changed the format of the 2020 meeting in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.***

Thursday April 23rd 2-5pm: Short Course and Welcome Reception

Short Course: Microplastics: A Mountains to Sea Transect (2-5pm)

Presented by Drs. Barbara Beckingham and John Weinstein. There is no additional charge for the course but pre-registration is required.

Platform Sessions: Students and professionals present in morning and afternoon sessions. (8:30am-5 pm)

​Poster Session: Students and professionals present (8:30 poster set up, 9-11 poster viewing).The annual meeting will conclude with a Board meeting and student awards (11-noon). Continental breakfast provided.

Travel and Accommodations

 

Parking on campus is limited. Meeting attendees should plan to park at the River Street Parking Deck at 461 Rivers Street. Parking passes are included in registration costs and can be obtained on site from Dr. Shea Tuberty. Please indicate if you need a parking pass on the meeting registration form. 

​

There are several accomodation options in Boone at various price points including, the Valle Crucis Conference CenterCourtyard MarriottMast Farm Inn Bed and Breakfast, and numerous AirBnB options.

 

**A few less expensive options** for student budgets are the Bunkhouses and Campsites on the Watauga River at ASU Camp Broadstone. Bunkhouses are available Thursday, Friday and Saturday night for $12 per night per person. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to reserve a space at Broadstone.

​

A continental breakfast will be served Friday and Saturday morning prior to presentation sessions. The cost of lunch and dinner Friday are included with registration. Additional guest tickets for Thursday night dinner can be purchased for $15.
